My immigrant story mirrors many classic narratives: arriving in the USA at 16 with only a few English phrases and two suitcases brimming with dreams. I had completed my early schooling up to that point in a boarding school in Anand, India. My journey in America began during my senior year of high school with ESL classes. I continued through community college, earned my Associate's degree, and then transferred to study economics at a state college in California. Through relentless effort, I quickly made English second nature.
Since 2003, my career in the financial services industry has been centered around helping individuals protect their earnings, maximize their resources, and enjoy a fulfilling retirement; it is especially joyful to serve members of my Indian community. I am also proud to serve as a board member of the Asian American Alliance, where I offer support and guidance to fellow Asian American advisors. Locally, I am a founding member of multiple organizations, specifically geared towards helping women and entrepreneurs. They all face seemingly insurmountable challenges; I have been blessed to be able to coach them through their struggles and help them find their own success. Professionally, I have a strong ability to connect with others and make them feel at ease. That is a big reason why we now serve clients in well over 20 states.
When I’m not working, you can find me preparing traditional dishes to honor and preserve my cultural heritage, spending time with family and friends, jogging the scenic hills of my new hometown, or planning my next trip to explore the enchanting cobblestone streets of Europe. My husband, Ankit, and I live in Warwick, NY, along with our lovable Cavapoo, Vasco.
